Jeff Wellman is a fine art Photographer, specializing in architectural photography.  He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in St. Charles, Missouri.  He attended University of Missouri – Columbia.  With many interests and strengths, it was a struggle to find that perfect major.  He finally settled on his love of art and architecture and graduated with a degree in Environmental Design.

Jeff landed his first job at a St. Louis based Architecture/Interior Design  firm, Gray Design Group,  and has been working with them for over 13 years.  After starting at the company as a draftsman, his various other interests and talents became noticeable in his day to day job.  He soon became the IT computer administrator and multimedia director, creating many of the architectural renderings and computer animations for the company.  Jeff has quite an eye for design of all sorts.  His lifelong passion for photography was tested in the professional world when he began taking photos of interiors and architecture that Gray designed.  Jeff now photographs many of today’s top design firms’ completed projects which have been published in numerous magazines, newspapers, and other publications.

Not only is he taking photos at work, he is taking photos at home, on vacation, holidays, etc.  These days, if Jeff is not out on his boat fishing, he has a camera in his hand taking photographs.  Being an accomplished multi-tasker, sometimes he even manages to do both.

Educated in architectural design, Jeff is familiar with the aesthetic elements that define the architecture or space and portrays these elements in his photographs.  Although architectural photography is his background, landscapes, wildlife and portraits are all within his scope of expertise.
